The
Supernaturalist
By: Eion Colfer |
About the author: Eion Colfer is a
former elementary teacher who became an international
publishing phenomenon of the books Artimas Fowl
series and The Wish List.
About the book: The Supernaturalist was a
really good book for kids that are into future stuff. So if
you like old time western books, this isn't for you.
The setting of the book is in this futuristic city called
Satellite City. 14 year old Cosmo Hill enters the world
unwanted by his parents. What a tragedy! So he is sent to
this place called Clarissa Frayne Institute for Parentally
Challenged boys. Freight class.
At Clarissa Frayne, the boys are put to work
testing things by the state! What they are testing is some
very dangerous products! At the end of most days they are
covered in burns, sores, and bruises! Cosmo realizes that if
he doesn't escape, he will eventually die at this so-called
orphanage.
When the moment finally comes, Cosmo takes his chance and
busts out of Clarissa Frayne. But with the help of the
Supernaturalists. They are a crew of kids who all have the
same ability as Cosmo. They can see supernatural Parasites,
those are creatures who feed on the life force of
humans. Say if you had a cut, they would suck it dry and try
to kill you. The Supernaturalists go out and patrol at night
to try and save people from the Parasites. Or so they think
that they are helping people out! Read this book to find out
what they do!
I liked this book because the style of this author is
really good. I liked how he said things. He said them in a
way that I couldn't describe. So I really recommend this
book to teens and preteens. Also Adults would probably like
it too. I don't have anything that I didn't like about
this book.
